Reddit has launched Reddit Pro Beta, a free suite of advanced tools designed to equip businesses with the tools and insights to inform when, where and how to effectively participate in Reddit communities and in turn, connect users with the businesses they are interested in.

Brands like Questrade, Fidelity Canada, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, NASA, and the NFL have helped test and refine AI-powered insights, performance analytics and publishing tools, for example.

Reddit Pro Beta is available for all eligible businesses and organizations in North America. Sign-up is via www.redditforpros.com, where businesses can follow the prompts to join the program.

We often say that the 16 billion posts and comments on Reddit, which are refreshed every second, make it a treasure trove for anyone wanting to understand how people think and feel about any given topic,” stated Roxy Young, Reddit’s Chief Marketing and Consumer Experience Officer.

“For businesses, there is significant value in understanding audiences through the lens of Reddit data,” Young added. “After all, Reddit is where real people turn to fuel passions, solve problems, and make informed decisions.”

Said Young, “I like to describe Reddit Pro as the toolbox for businesses looking to unlock and action these insights. It’s a suite of free tools that helps companies better understand their consumers and better inform their business strategy. There aren’t a lot of places where brands can reach high-intent, relevant audiences like they can on Reddit. With Reddit Pro, we’re seeing more businesses cut through with new audiences because they are engaging in a way that is more informed and therefore more relevant and valuable to their consumers.”

I asked Young to share an example of how Reddit Pro is helping a Canadian business to better understand and engage with its Reddit community.

“Questrade, an online brokerage firm and wealth management firm based in Canada, is a great example of how a brand can get started and build momentum on Reddit. By establishing their own community, r/Questrade, their team was able to address questions from existing and potential customers, and to help them navigate their finances, building brand affinity in the process. Customer service is a common use case for brands on Reddit, as our communities help them learn about the challenges their customers face and how they can improve their user experience in the future.”

What’s next for Reddit Pro?

“It’s in its beta test phase and we will continue to roll out additional features over the coming months as more businesses and organizations join the program,” shared Young.

“As Reddit continues to scale globally, we are constantly evolving our ads product roadmap to meet advertisers’ needs better,” explained Young. “Testing new products and features, in partnership with our clients and community, is an important part of this. Specifically, we’re focused on building products and tools that bring the best of Reddit’s communities to our partners, and vice versa.”

Added Young, “We recently launched free-form ads, our newest ad format designed to make it  easier for advertisers to post long-form, multimedia ads on Reddit, in a way that feels native to our platform and how users interact with one another.”

Reddit Pro is currently only available on desktop.
