Reviewing the Clickfree Transformer SE

Submitted by Ted Kritsonis on December 17, 2009 – 2:35 pm

The Clickfree Transformer SE allows you to back up data onto your iPod or iPhone, or onto an external hard drive. Ted shows you how to use it and discusses its features.

  • Georg Seka says:

I have an IPod clssic with private, non-purchased music on it which I want to tranfer to my Iphone – I have no computer back-up for that music, but would like to store the music from my Ipod on my computer as well. Can I accomplish this with your gadget?

  • Thanks for your question, George. Based on the scenario you’ve outlined, I would say that you could pull this off by just using software called Senuti or iPodDisk on the Mac. Either one (both apps are free, btw) will let you migrate the songs over to your computer, which you can then load into iTunes and sync over to your iPhone. And since you’ve loaded them into iTunes, they will be saved in your computer’s iTunes folder, so you have them ‘backed up’ per se.

As I said in my review, the Clickfree Transformer SE is only really worth it if you need to backup data and music from your computer on a fairly regular basis.

Feel free to get in touch if you have anymore questions.
