Last week, MindShare Learning Technology, a catalyst in driving innovation in education and nurturing 21st century skills, announced the 10th ‘Classroom of the Future Challenge—Extreme Makeover’ national winners. The Classroom of the Future contest challenged Canadian publicly funded school teachers to create and capture innovative teaching & learning with technology practices depicting how they engaged and motivated their students through a short video.

Congratulations to the three national grand prizewinners who are teachers from Western, Central, and Eastern Canada. (See below for links to their video entries.) These teachers shone and demonstrated their creative abilities to use technology to enhance student learning in their classrooms using a wide variety of tech
tools.

“It’s a mixture of overjoyed and little shocked and amazed,” stated Librande. “You enter a contest and you don’t think you’re going to win. This changes our technology footprint of the whole school. The students are so engaged by technology. It’s a part of their daily lives; to produce the video they shared their thoughts and beliefs from their heart.”
